The stories are as varied and diverse as each reader. Tell us how you happened upon the All Souls Trilogy!

Ok, I'll start! I found it by accident, maybe Amazon told me I should read it and I would like it (in 2011)? Hard to remember. It was a tough start for me, because I didn't really relate to Matthew and Diana at first. I didn't *get* what motivated them (yet). Until chapter 9. Hamish saved the day, because he let me glimpse into Matthew, and I really wanted to see Diana's response to him after he returned from Scotland. By the time I got to the end when they were in Madison, I was addicted. I bugged my mother for a preview of Shadow of Night because I couldn't wait anymore. I bought the audiobooks. The rest is history. Seems like I'm still talking about this story. All of the time. It's literally changed my life. In the best way.

I found the trilogy (initially in audiobook) in 2013 when a girlfriend told me to read A Discovery of Witches, because "it's like Harry Potter for grownups." Well the Harry Potter hook worked like a charm, except that my girlfriend forgot to tell me that vampires were involved. And being vampire-adverse, I was initially angry with my girlfriend. Well, not for long. I've been under the spell of the books and Jennifer Ikeda, the outstanding audiobook narrator, ever since. BTW, as a #TeamHamish gal, I adore chapter 9. I cannot get enough of it. Time for a re-read?

Omg, Laura...Hamish changed EVERYTHING for me. I'm so happy that character came into play. #TeamHamish!

I saw the hardcover ADOW at Costco and went back and forth about buying - was being fiscally responsible and running out of shelf space. Then our broke down and grabbed it from the New Releases display at the library. The elusive, reclusive Professor Clairmont drew me in with his first chuckle but I wasn't truly sucked in until we got to Sept Tours. Ysabeau sealed the deal. And then there was chapter 30. HGV. Long story short. AST takes up a whole shelf in my home library now and prompts travel on a semi regular basis. So much for fiscal responsibility.

lol. Isn't that the truth. Getting on a broom at least once a year to visit your girlfriends wouldn't fall under "fiscal responsibility" but meh. Can't take it with you!

It was the cover that drew me in, then the title. I'd recently visited Oxford whilst visiting family in London. We went for a day out and it was beautiful and I'd love to go back after reading DoW. And I read it in a couple of days, couldn't put it down. Wouldn't put it down!
